Bio

Valia Lolidou (b. 1998, Thessaloniki) is a Berlin-based visual artist and scenographer whose multimedia practice explores the themes of identity, solitude, and the concept of the uncanny. Working across installation, photography, video, and scenography, she creates immersive environments that examine states of vulnerability and psychological tension.

Valia holds an Integrated Master of Fine Arts from the School of Visual and Applied Arts at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, completed in 2022. She is currently finishing her Master’s degree in Scenography at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK Berlin), where her practice has expanded toward the theater stage.

Her work has been presented in exhibitions and projects in Thessaloniki, Athens, and Berlin, including Inbetween (2022), Liminal (2024), Souls Out at Ballhaus Ost (2025), and The Myth of a Myth as part of 48 Stunden Neukölln (2026). Her scenographic work includes ABYSS, a dance performance directed and choreographed by Sabina Andrea Allen, and Albert Camus’s Caligula directed by Fe Freundner.
